Just magical ! Especially but not necessarily with kids. Its like The Shire ! Just a beautiful, natural escape, so much to explore and enjoy in natural surroundings, an idyll, take me back there now ! All tent pitches have fire pit with benches, theres also option of shepherds huts, bell tents and yurts
Was recommended by a friend 5 days before I went with my 6 year old son for just 2 nights. Had an amazing bonding time, camping, hiking, visiting the beautiful Sheffield Park Gardens, cooking on open fire, the Bluebell Railway, and more. The personnel hold a shop (including croissant and pains au chocolat) and bring log crates to your pitch for your fire. Facilities are clean and very handy (fridges available). Great place to make new friends around the Wed eve free animations or when heating marshmallows under the stars.
Fantastic campsite, everything you need for a camping break. Friendly staff clean toilets. Lots of events going on and pizza and fish and chips. The music on Saturdays was enjoyed by all and the woods and stream were perfect for the kids and we hardly saw them over the long weekend. The spa was good and the massage was excellent value and worthwhile. Pubs are a longish walk but if you fancy it then they are all good. The shop sells everything you need including logs and fresh pastries and pies. Saturday and Sunday morning you can get Coffee,Chai and fresh made waffles and crepes. We would highly recommend this campsite and are looking forward to returning next year. Well done WoWo.
Great location. Friendly, laid back staff and lots of entertainment for children all ages. A rural charm. Highly recommended!
We had group stay there for 4 nights. There is a stream between 2 of the sites and everything is well sign posted, and it's not too crowded. The toilets are pretty clean as well. However - it's pretty expensive to stay there and the shop that sells stuff like hot coffee of insanely expensive!Look around and you might find another camp site that is better value.
