I grew up in Blackboys. I started frequenting this public house once of legal age and have many fond memories of good food and fine ales. Go. You won't be disappointed.
We stayed at this lovely old inn for just one night. Spotlessly clean and a lovely breakfast. Almost certainly has a beautiful countryside view for most of the year.
Booked months in advance along with meals - informing of allergies - however, on the day rather than provide alternatives to the allergy food they just removed items from the plate and charged us the same amount of dollar. Would of been nice to get these simple items on the plate just produced in a way that catered for the allergy. Rather disappointing - service saved the night as the girls were incredible
Another excellent stay at Blackboys. Their rooms are very good, spacious and very well equipped. And the pub not only serves excellent Harvey's the food is very good as is the wine, and the gin. And the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We'll be back!
Stayed one night and really enjoyed ourselves. Good pint of ale in the bar by the fire followed by venison pie for dinner which was excellent. Too full for dessert. Stayed in one of the cabins which was very cosy. Full cooked breakfast was a treat but they also had some great alternatives too. Young enthusiastic staff. Overall a well deserved 5/5
